Ben DuPriest is a PhD candidate in music at the University of Pennsylvania. A native of Atlanta Georgia, he currently lives in Water Valley, Mississippi. For the last three years, Ben has conducted ethnographic and historiographic research on the blues tourism industry in North Mississippi. His dissertation examines the celebration of the blues as cultural heritage in the state.
